I've owned the bike for almost a year and can say with confidence that this is the most multi-purpose bikes I have owned. This is my 6th bike and the smallest cc of them all [owned a 1200,650,500(2) and 350(still have)]. Even at being the smallest cc I've owned, it has the power to pull away from most commuter cars and the agility to take quick action when another driver does the unpredictable. I've gotten 79-87 mpg (depending on how I ride). The reliability is consistent with Honda's reputation of producing rock-solid engines. At 5 foot 5 inches I'm definitely shorter than most and the bike fits me perfectly. If you do your own maintenance it is very user friendly that way. Remembering that it's a 233cc, hills require downshifting and there is little acceleration at highway speeds above 60mph. I would buy this over a scooter of the same cc since it's considerably less expensive and has the larger wheels to take the bumps. I do wish Honda would make the Rebel with the 450cc engine again - I'd be one of the first in line.
